Nautilus BVC coils

Got delivered some of the Nautilus BVC coils this morning before going to work.
So far I can only say I'm happy with them, it's only 1/2 a day but so far no dry hits or burnt taste and both vapour and flavour is really good, maybe not as much of a mega step up from the BDC coils as some people have said in reviews but they're defo good.
Built looks good, the vertical coil with the cotton and little piece of mesh on top make it look a little like a miniature version of the smok cartomizer, will be interesting to see how long they last compared to BDC one.

I think they are a mini carto.
Have not heard a bad word said against them, but it's kinda early days.
    Keep us informed ;)

Well that explains why they look like one then :D

These seem to need a little bit of bedding in period if you can call it that, flavour from them seem to increase after an hour or so of use, I noticed in on both two different tanks with different liquid I have been using since yesterday.
I did give then a couple of drops of liquid directly to soak them a little

I hadn't used a clearo in over a year but I find myself with less and less time for recoiling/rewicking and picked up a mini nautilus with a few spare BVC coils from ESI after reading so many good reviews.

Bit of a step down from a properly wicked kayfun/taifun but so easy and reliable, pretty happy so far. Good flavour and vapour at 15W, above that and it gets a bit dry.

Would highly recommend for anyone just starting out though, save yourself some hassle and go straight for this...

The first lot of bvc's worked great but the ones im using now seem to be flooding continously and its incredibly annoying, wonder if its a bad batch or something. Anyone else having the same problems

Are they showing as genuine on the Aspire site? Can't imagine The best shop selling fakes, but worth checking anyhoo.

Couldn't really imagine that either to be honest, I have only had the best of service from them, I'll check mine later or tomorrow anyway and post result, if nothing else just to back up a place that I've found great to deal with

The flooding thing have happened to 2 of mine as well, don't know if it when they're end of life, the one it happened to this morning had started to spew liquid a bit as well when first firing up

I got four weeks from a bvc, longest I've ever had from a coil.
Strangely I prefer vaping the mini over the big one.

I think I got about a week from the first one but that would have been fairly heavy vaping, been a bit so and so since then some have been fine for 3-4 days and a few been f***ed quicker, one I put in yesterday morning vent cactus already this morning so that 3 bad ones out of the first 10 so far

That's a balls, I've not had one bad BVC, I've also been vaping very heavy on them as well.

do these fit an older aspire clearo that currently uses the bdc's - are they the same size in length

I don't think so, not the aspire maxi bdc anyway, different design, think the only fit aspire nautilus versions

have had a bit more time with these and now have a bit of an *updated opinion* lol

I think it is more about learning how to use the coil than the coil itself being faulty, almost to the extent where you would say the coil is to good for the tank itself, on the Nautilus I can't use anything but the biggest air hole or it will draw so tight it floods, they get highly saturated so every now and then you have to just fire them a few times without dragging to burn off excess liquid, I find that they work best if you hit the button for 2 or 3 seconds before dragging so that it is fully heated up when using it, also juice level plays in, tank is 5ml but never fill it more than max 4.5ml and don't let drop under 1.5/2ml keeps the right pressure in the tank to avoid gurgle and minimizes the spitting as well.
At the end of the day I guess we have to live with smaller issues to get great vape and they are in fact just that...minor issues...

Good tips there JH. i Will give what you say a go.

I am loving the Nautilus and Nautilus mini with the BVC Coils (only having used the H2 and ETS-BDC before)

The first time i used it it gurgled like fook. It seems i had not tightened the base enough, i thought it was tight, but seemingly not.

No gurgling since, but i am still on the coils that came with the Mini, so may have issues with future coils, as people say the replacement coils are hit and miss.

    So far all good though

Been using the BVC coils a few weeks now (Naulitilus, middle air inlet, 3.9V, 9.5W, mostly Wingnuts juices), my 2 cents:

    - Longer lasting by at least a multiple of 2 over the previous version
    - Seems to flood with greater ease, have to pull apart and clean out bottom section of Nautilus every day or two
    - Related to the above point, small hot globules of juice jump up the drip tip and into the mouth when the coil gets too wet

1 step forward, 2 steps back in my view, disappointed.

Agreed I'm using them with the standard aspire maxi and in my opinion they are too powerful for it, I got great use from a 1.5 coil, my juice didnt go gloopy for a full week but it gurgles alot and makes too much noise.
I went back to the 1.8 bdc last night - still to try the 1.8 bvc.

I would think its more for the bigger tanks but i suspect it might be the type of juice too .

Have you tried them at a higher wattage? You're probably not burning off enough juice.

I've been using them about 50% of the time for the past 3 weeks on a mini nautilus and find them great. Hadn't used a clearo in ages but I haven't had a single leak, which is amazing. You can get some spitback/condensate up around the drip tip but I found replacing the standard tip (which is far too big anyway) with a short ceramic one helped a lot. Or at least it did until I lost it...

Have banged it up to 11w (max on the vv) to see if it makes any difference. Juice noticeably leaked out from the adjustable airflow ring today, first time I've ever had a leak on the Nautilus. What volts are others using out of interest?

My watts on a nautilus differs from 7w to 12w,it all depends on what juice is being used, some juices I use is for flavour only & no kick to the throat but I use other juices for the throat hit.I dry burn the coils every tankful & sometimes I wash the coil afterwards & sometimes I don't,I have 6 nautilus's & never had a leak on any of them. Here is a couple of vids on dry burning a nautilus, one of them is in Spanish but the pics show everything.

I am just wondering about your nautilus because of a conversation we had on here about two weeks ago about fake nautilus' doing the rounds , are you sure yours is legit ?

I am asking because some are saying it leaks and then others are saying they are experiencing no leaks what so ever and I am wondering if there is a common denominator .

I bought all mine from TBS & one I bought from here on the forum, somebody did mention fake nautilus from ecig.ie in Waterford.

I believe mine is genuine, bought from ESI.

Dripping out of the airflow only happened to me once but I think either thecoil was faulty or I wasnt using it right.

I am using it on 14W-4.7V and it is 1.6 ohm coils, last one I got a week out of it and could have kept using it for another bit but vape was getting a bit weaker than I like.
So far I am quite happy with these BVC coils
