I have just bought an 2004 vw polo 5 door and I'm very high up in the car; when I have the sun visor down its impossible to see.
There isn't a lever for adjusting it up and down. All I have is the knob to switch the angle of the seat and to adjust the seat position.

    Any help would be great.

Beside the circular adjustor is there not a handle that lifts up and down?

There is one on my wifes bog standard 2005 Polo, as you say its a lever on the RH side (of drivers seat) and you simly crank it up/down as required.
