My pc keeps reverting back to desktop!

Hi guys, I'm experiencing trouble with my windows 7 pc. Every time I'm doing anything on the pc it goes into a sort of sleep mode. For example, if I was writing a word doc., word would all of a sudden become unresponsive. It's like I pointed the mouse into the desktop, and I have to physically point the mouse back into the word doc to make it responsive again. The same also happenes when playing games and is happening while writing this now, so I have to click the mouse back into the comment box. It also affects my wireless adapter which often will be disconnected due to this problem.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards.

When did you first notice it happening? Do you have the same issue when you start in safe mode (I would try this first to rule out a physical issue, ie, stuck key etc)

Do you have windows restore enabled? Open it, find a restore point previous to the issue and run it. This won't affect files you've saved, but it will affect programs installed after this date.

Hey dude, I think it's been like this since I got a new pc and windows 7 just after christmas.
It's just becoming very annoying now. I'll try what you've mentioned above.
    Thanks for your reply.

Some other program is stealing window focus.
I'd start by closing any open programs in the task bar one by one until you find the source.

I'd leave a system restore until after that. Otherwise you'll probably end up reinstalling whatever is causing it.

It could be a faulty keyboard. I've had problems like that and it wasn't until the keyboard starting having additional problems (like random letters appearing in text I was writing) that I realised what the problem was..
