Looking for a good disinfectant for my calf pens. Can't really power wash them as the walls are made out if lime plaster.
The individual pens worked well last autumn but as soon as spring came calves were in them for too long and I got a run if scours

That's what we used to use, keep a nap sack full of it and use as required.

What disinfectant would you use to disinfect stomach tubes and feeder bottles?

I normally pour some iodine based disinfectant over and through them after use but is there something better out there for that job?

I use Steri 7 on teat feeders and the milk mixer, it's food safe and doesn't leave a smell.

Has anyone come across a powder disinfectant. A couple of years ago I was in a yard and the guy bred dogs, he used a powder disinfectant in the kennels. He told me that piggeries use it but I cannot remember the name. From memory it was pink in colour.

Virkon S...use it here...came highly recommended from poultry grower..

Ordered yesterday and cheapest I could find was actually from equine warehouse....

Imagine the excitement from the "staff" in this house when they see the package, and the disappointment when they open it....
