I am hoping someone can give me a bit of advise.
A few years ago i painted shed doors with black gloss paint with the usual undercoat etc, these doors are facing the sunlight in the summer and all the elements during the winter resulting after about 3 years the paint starts flaking.
I have now pretty well removed all of what is on them and want advise as to using a woodstain (black)
My concern is that because it is not new clean wood and there are blotches of the original paint that would not come off and i would like a wood stain that would prevent these blotches showing through.
I originally considered using but now realize that this product will not cover these blotches up.

    Thanks in advance me.

Wood stains are transparent so the old paint will show through.
If you want to use a stain and have it looking decent you will need to strip all the old paint off first.
