IT Tech Support Salary

I'm just wondering what the average wages would be in Dublin in IT tech support? Level 1, 2, 3 etc?

I'm soon moving into an Oracle Applications Support role, delighted to get it (moving within the company) as I have no prior IT experience (but I am studying an IT degree part time).

At the moment I don't care what I'm on as I'm only beginning, but it would be nice to know what kind of ranges I could expect in a couple of years if I stayed in support.

This very general so not definitive obviously.
    L1 - anywhere from 25k - 30k, few places offer 30k -40k doe
    L2 - 30k - 40k+
    L3 - 30k +

Some companies will hire from within at a lower salary than if hiring externally. Tbh I've also seen L1 and L2 full-time roles offered on jobsbridge so count that as salary from 11k+

Your estimation seems about right. I worked in L2 on an ecommerce product and I was on €37,000 per year with additional benefits. I did however work for a Multi-National so they could afford it. I previously worked for a Retail EPOS Supplier and their in house Software Support team were making around €25k on average.

If you're looking to get into Tech Support OP, I'd look for a Multi-National who can afford to pay well and invest in your training. Depending on your performance, you could have decent career prospects and opportunities for promotion. I will say though, as you do progress through a much larger Company like Yahoo, your Salary won't be incremented in the order of €5-10k per promotion unless you move into an entirely different area such as DevOps or Development where you may have the opportunity to haggle a decent pay increase.
