Ulsterbank changing charge waiver terms

Just noticed this in my online banking. Didn't get the usual forced acknowledgement of the message (sneaky).
"With effect from 19 September 2014, we are removing waiver 1. This means that from 19 September 2014, whilst you can still avoid paying the €4 monthly maintenance fee by maintaining a cleared balance of €3,000 in your account for the full charging cycle, you can no longer avoid the fee by lodging a cleared total of €3,000 or more into your account each month."

So it looks like you have to now keep a balance of €3,000 per month in it to avoid the fees whereas you used to be able to cycle €3,000 through it monthly which will no longer be valid.
