Hi has anyone driven over to Scotland by ferry from Northern Ireland thinking of going over there for a few days geese shooting.
I will have European firearms pass ,Northern Ireland licence and invite to shoot in Scotland just wondering is it worth telling them you have a firearm I will have firearm and ammo locked away in gun safe and will be bolted to inside of van.
I just read a bit about the trouble you will have to go true to let them know all of above
Any info would be great on peoples experience in traveling to Scotland.

we never have had any bother, going from belfast via stenaline just tell them you have firearms and you will get priority boarding, i keep my ammo in an ex army ammo tin and they were happy with it being in it, if you have never been over for geese you will love the experience, we are planning to go in feb for the last of the season on the foreshore, we were over last year on the foreshore and i shot my first pinkfoot and it was ringed 18 years old,

Are they still not allowing ammo on the high speed ferry? We used to have to get the old slow boat.
