Dual Oil Solid Fuel Central Heating Question

I am looking at buying a house which has Dual Oil/Solid Fuel Central Heating. It has a BER rating of B1, triple glazed windows, top class insulation etc etc.
My question is for anyone who has Dual Oil/Solid Fuel Central Heating in their house. What is it like and would you see this as being a very advantageous system to have. The system in the house i am looking at has a solid fuel stove heating the radiators in the bedrooms, bathroom and reception hall and water. The house is 5000 square foot and the stove is in the living room.

    Any info much appreciated.

Dual is good, espicaly if you like a fire.
Let the oil do the hard work getting it all hot, then stove takes over.
Bit like boiling a pot of water, once hot it takes very little to keep it simmering.
You have quite a large house to heat = expensive.
But as it has quite a good BER rating so I figure you have good modern efficient heating appliances.

    Cheers. Sounds good so far.

Probably one of the most common systems fitted in the country, start with oil and maintain with a stove or similar

Common does not always mean good in this country :)
