DCM and Jetlag

So my older brother is expecting his first child in late October which not only coincides with my holidays off work but also Dublin City Marathon.

I was hoping to do a marathon around November time anyway but as the temperatures would be getting hot I was holding out registering (but I'm still in training mode!)

So would I be mad to contemplate flying into Dublin on Saturday evening and running the marathon on the Monday?

Also I would like to run for a charity not listed on the official website. Is this allowed/possible? Do I just get in contact with the charity and organize it with them?

Don't know about jetlag, but you can contact any charity you like, tell them you're running and you want to fundraise for them. They'll be happy to have you. You could have a look at http://www.mycharity.ie/ you can set up your fundraising page and contact the charity through that
