I'm going back onto back to education allowance of €188 in September, i'm currently receiving €88 rent supplement per week. How much can i earn during term time without my rent supplement being affected?

'Additional income disregard: A certain amount of your household income from certain sources is not taken into account. €75 of any additional household income* above the SWA rate for your circumstances is not taken into account. Also, 25% of additional household income over €75 is not taken into account. There is no upper limit on the amount that can be disregarded.'

According to above i can earn 121 euro a week without it being affected but i imagine i'm calculating it wrong because it seems far too high.

    Any help be greatly appreciated

Hi there! Im now in a similar situation to yourself. Could you tell me how you get on? i would be most grateful as its so confusing and frustrating trying to find out. Im going on beta (presume i can keep my rent supplement, fuel allowance) but how much can i earn from part time work without it affecting my entitlement to getting BTEA again in year 2 of my course? Thank you very much. Hope it worked out well for you.
