Vodafone Fibre Broadband on secondary socket?

So I live in Cork and Vodafone broadband rang a few days ago to see if we wanted to upgrade to their 90mb fibre broadband for the same price. So we agreed and signed up. During the call their was no mention of an engineer having to call to our house (We discovered this when they text us saying he would come on a specific date). So I started googling what he would have to do to get us up and running. Here's where im worried. The current standard broadband router that we have is in a room at the back of the house connected to a telephone socket. This is obviously not the Master socket as that is in the hall by the front door. As the master socket is fairly far away from the computers and consoles etc, their wouldn't be a very reliable wifi signal if we had to have the new modem in the hall. My question is, is their any way possible for the engineer to connect the new modem to the secondary socket at the back of the house without affecting the connection speed?

If not, does anyone know the time limit on cancelations for this "upgrade" to our service in order to return to our previous 4mb broadband?

The modem has to be connected into the main socket. However, the tech can run new cable (cat 5) for up to 30 feet or so to where you want to put the modem. You may want to talk to vodafone.
Search through the forum, it's come up before,

    How long will installation take?

Installation should take approximately 2 hours depending on what is required. If you need additional wiring to move your modem into a room that is not close by the main socket, then the installation could take longer. You don’t have to pay for installation.
