I am installing a four zone central heating system (4 thermostatic valves with one controlling each zone). I would like to put in place a system that I could log into the controls from anywhere and turn off or on as required. Preferably a system that works off wifi over my broadband connection. Has anyone done this or can you recommend a product/solution. I would also like to know what sort of costs are involved.
    Thanks.....

I have limited experience with these systems but one thing to watch out for is that a lot of them have subscription charges, I have seen customers buy the system and not realise this until they get it installed.
One subscription free option to look into is that Belkin do plugs called WeMo for €50 each that are controlled over wifi using an app on your phone. They're available at the likes of Harvey Norman etc.
A good electrician/heating installer should be able to incorporate 4 of these into a standard 4 channel "S plan system". Might take a bit of tinkering on the installers part but worth keeping in mind

There's loads of different threads the search function should help. Heatmiser neo looks good and is sub free.

The climote is a subscription. Most others are not
