    Facebook seems to think I live in Australia for some reason. It keeps posting links to Aussie sites.
    It's slightly comforting that I've managed to confuse it lol, but I think I wouldn't have known that it could track where you live unless it had gotten it so wrong!

    So, does FB know where YOU live?

    It knows where everyone lives based on IP addresses and geo tags in your photo upload Exif data.

    OP you must have some software to hide your ip address

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Never use it so lately it's started sending messages and emails about such and such a persons new updates,half expecting a knock on the door and seeing someone from facebook inquiring as to why I haven't been using the thing.

    You can change your settings to get rid of the email.
