    Hi there,
I'm heading to Thailand in 2 weeks and have just booked the return flight between Dublin and Bangkok. We haven't booked our flights from Bangkok to Koh Samui yet and wondering if we would get better value waiting if we book from Bangkok. Return flights between Bangkok and Koh Samui I can book from here for €170 pp. Thanks in advance.

Book it now. That fare is rarely below €200 especially this close. I presume it's with Bangkok Airways?

Samui has practically zero competition for flights so is always a little pricey, there is a ferry route available though if you've got a bit of time and are trying to save cash.

Just a suggestion if you don't mind travelling an extra 3 hours each way but you can fly to Surat Thani return for around €60. I flew there and got a bus and boat ticket for another 15 euro. Really depends on timings but you could even fly one way to Surat Thani and fly back from Samui if money's tight.

If you don't want the hassle then 170 is an average price and will go well over 200 in a day or two.

Both Nok Air and Air Asia will sell you an all-in ticket that includes flight to Surat Thani, bus and ferry. Maybe another option to look at.
