    I currently have 02 and it has to be the worst Internet in Ireland.especially when gaming online since I can only connect to a handful of people and it's not fixable (trust me)
    I saw meteor had a deal for students(me)on their 4g Internet only €10 for 6 months and 20 after that.anyone have any experience with meteor or is there any other network better?

    My kids are gaming morning noon and night. Between x-boxes, p.c.'s, laptop's and at least 4 - 5 mobiles devices, all on at the same time.
    25 euro a month for UPC broadband covers them all.

    As above most mobile providers are rubbish if you want to do much streaming, online gaming, downloading from Steam etc. UPC used to do a student deal with a 8 month contract, so may be worth enquiring with them. Will move this to the broadband forum for you

    you game and use mobile broadband, im sorry but i find that funny. gaming with high pings you might aswel just shoot at walls, youd prob have more luck hitting things that way too.

    to online game you want a connection with the lowest possible ping, upc or eircom tbh anyone that resells eircom vdsl (apart from magent, stay clear of them) is what you need

    trust me, when you have a ping in the 10-30ms mark youll be so much better and more accurate you actually wont believe it until you see it for yourself

    vodafone simply broadband ;) 35 a month

    Sorry but O2 don't have a broadband product, it's mobile internet, it's referred to as midband on here and has it's own forum. The reason it's called midband is that it's kind of half way between dial up and broadband, fast dial up if you like. You want to game, get a real broadband service, which is going to cost you more than 20pm

    cos I live in the back arse of no ware im stuck with 3 mobile (nbs).
    while it can be very ropy at night when watching Netflix I have no problem playing Xbox live with the exception or fifa.
    I never have a problem playing the likes of gta and other such games. ping is always around 54.

    the only fibre here in galway, is in our all bran icon9.png.

    Just wondering what deal you're on that's 25 euro for BB with UPC? Thanks :)

    It was some special offer they ran a while back which suited our needs.
    Its wasn't the highest speed deal, but somewhere in the middle.
    No complaints from the kids, so happy days :)

    Fibre != Fiber

    Just as All Bran != All-bran
