Magic eye issue

Hi guys new sky 2tb HD box. Haven't used magic eye for a few years. Getting picture and sound OK on second TV just can't use remote control on the eye to change anything. I see it's a huge issue online. My magic eye is old maybe 6 years - is this the issue - not compatible with the HD box? So I have rf output power…

I can get a magic eye on argos for 15 but don't want to waste my money if it's not likely to fix it

Do you have any kind of a splitter between the sky box and the 2nd TV. I know some of them can interfere with magic eyes.
