Laser hair removal- has anyone had longterm success with it?

I've had 6 sessions of bikini, lips and underarms and about 1/3 of the hair is either still there, or grew back.
Has anyone had the hair they had removed, actually stay away?

Yes - have had great results. My hair would be dark and my skin quite fair. It does stay away overall but the occasional hairs will grow back. Maybe 10 over a lower leg, you'd need to go looking for them. I think it depends where you get it done and the type of machine they use. Got mine done in Dundrum Skincare and Laser Clinic, would highly recommend. The girl wouldn't let me laser some areas as she said it would be unsuitable for treatment. I liked that they weren't just out to get your money from you.

I've heard that hormone changes (e.g. pregnancy) can cause the hair to grow back

I was pregnant twice after finishing my laser hair removal and never noticed any change. The hair on my head did grow thicker and fell out less due to hormonal changes but I didn't turn back into a hairy beast elsewhere!!
