Cyclists and pedestrian crossing

While crossing the pedestrian crossing this morning at Aungier Street A number of cyclists decided they are too good to stop when clearly their light says red. They continued at speed straight through the pedestrian crossing and nearly hit me. Had I been hit, it would have been a serious injury. Total lack of care and respect for the rules of the road!

Why do some cyclists do this ?

When the light says red and I am crossing then you stop!! I have the right of way and so God help you if you hit me :mad:

I know all cyclists are not like this. Most of them have the upmost respect for all road users. But unfortunately there are those who choose to not give a crap about any traffic lights. I see this also while I am driving.

ah sure swingking it gets worse

Same situation as you, I was crossing the road on foot, with my kids in the buggy (including a baby less than 2 months old) and cyclist come flying through and she has the cheek to shout at me even though I had the green man.
