    Hi there,

Could any of you guys recommend a programme that I can use, to scan for, and delete duplicate photos on my pc. The best one I found was 'Photo sweeper', but since that's only for Macs, it isn't much good to me!
I have a HP 'easynote' laptop, running Windows 7.
Any information would be appreciated...I have a dropbox photo folder that is absolutely clogged with duplicates!

    Cheers,

    HSB

Picasa 3 by Google should do it, it scan's your PC for all images and organizes them by then - after you can use the Duplicate Finder.
Click on Tools, Experimental, Show Duplicate Files. This is a special search in Picasa. Although labeled as experimental, I find it works pretty good. With all your duplicates displayed, you can study them and delete the duplicates manually. Just click on the photo to remove, or Ctrl-Click on multiple photos, and then press the delete key on your keyboard.

It's a little manual but better because you can see the duplicates in front of you - http://picasa.google.ie/
