Ok mate just got a 07 fiesta 1.4 diesel, had little damage to front in the past, we noticed that the wire going to the horn is disconnected, when reconnected the horn beeps and beeps until you disconnect it again, single wire, what maybe the trouble here.

also when the car is idling how long in does it take from cold for the fan to kick it.

    thanks

Horn beeping sounds like a fault with the alarm - might be related to the previous damage. Did he get it looked over by a mechanic before buying it?

How long it takes for the fan to kick in depends on a few things, at idle it could easily take 30-40 minutes since there's no load on the engine. If you go out and drive it, it should be warm in 10-15 minutes.

Have a look at the horn unit / they usually have a tiny nut for adjustment....you will have to leave it connected while adjusting / there may be a problem at the steering wheel where the actual contact may be stuck / fused together .

Regarding cooling fan / they vary / on my car it kicks in at 100 deg. C and goes off at approx 90 deg. C

Keep an eye on the temp. gauge when in heavy slow moving traffic .
