I just want to gather some information on applying for grants/loans for entry in 2015. Some basic facts about my situation I am a mature student (32 by this time next year), I live in Northern Ireland and I have a disability (Aspergers syndrome). My first choice would be to go to DIT to do the ordinary level degree in biosciences. Taking into account all of those different categories I seem to fall into how to do go about applying for grants? I am just wondering about maybe getting a point of contact, someone that can guide me through, who can I email firstly? Any ideas would be taken very gratefully, thank you.

You wont be able to apply for a grant until around April or May 2015.

The disability support service in DIT might be able to help you with advice

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Have you looked at the HEAR grant? AHEAD might be a good contact too.
