Changing from quick release wheels

Now this is probably a question that's easy to answer. Every bike I see in Dublin has the wheels bolted on. I'm going using my hybrid for commuting which has quick release wheels fitted.
How would I go about changing to the bolted type and how much would the parts cost..I'm hoping then wheels them selves don't have to be changed?

I have fitted the pitlocks to my kids mountain bikes as all had quick release wheels and saddles, this is the dearest one with everything covered

I've ordered cheap ones but they haven't arrived yet. I mainly just want the saddle secured.

Something you might also consider: just replace the QR on the rear and take the front wheel off and bring it with you when you lock up your bike. Bit of a pain, but possibly might put off opportunist thieves.

It's a lot easier to remove the front wheel and simply lock it to the rear than carrying it around.

Leaving the wheels in where they are and using a cable is even more convenient.

True, but if the front wheel is not with the bike, it might make it less attractive a target to a thief-if a scumbag has a set of bolt cutters under his shell suit, he can just re-attach the front wheel after he's snapped your lock. If the wheel isn't there, he might just think 'feck that, I'll steal a different bike'. You can also go a step further and get a qr for the seatpost and take that with you as well. The bike will look like it's had bits stolen from it already, so likely no one will bother with the rest

He could but in most situations where wheels have QR's and only the frame is secured, it is the wheel/wheels which are stolen - not the whole bike

One has to draw the line between security and convenience. If I had to carry around the wheel, seat post/saddle etc. I simply wouldn't leave my bike there or I'd take the risk and leave it all.
