Hi just looking for some advice and info on Audi servicing in the Dublin area. I know this has probably been discussed before but I'm just looking for any recommendations that's not going to cost me the earth!! I have an 08 A4 and I know I definitely need the water pump replaced but just want to make sure everything else is fine as I have my nct in sept!!

Any info would b greatly appreciated!!!

Another query i have is labour costs on actually replacing the pump. I recently got a quote from audi north dublin saying €700 odd for just the water pump, i asked how come it was going to cost that much and they said the pump itself is in an awkward place so its more so the labour that im paying for? I checked it out on micks garage and to buy the pump itself is only €95 so surely to god labour shouldnt cost €600???

egr valve replacement for me here, took them a good week, they said the part was free but the labour was the cost circa 760 euro in the end. They have all the fancy audi equipment/computer machines though.

I happened to be down there one day and had a look at my engine, it is indeed quite complex/fancy but obviously they are charging through the nose! i am on the lookout for somewhere else myself, so if you find anywhere......

Yes the water pump job on them isn't much fun. You should still be able to save a fair bit by not paying main Audi dealer labour rates though.
