    Hi there,

I recently got called for an interview in a meat processing company (In the boning hall area) and was curious what the dress code would be for an interview?

Slacks and shirt? or would that be needed for this type of interview?

    Thanks!

It may not be needed, but I don't think you'd be doing your chances any harm by playing safe and wearing that.

Trousers, long sleeved shirt with collar and shoes will do the job I would think. You will not be viewed negatively for making an effort appearance wise whereas the risk of being viewed that way turning up in a tracksuit or jeans is possible (even if such attire is completely irrelevant for the role).

Good luck and avoid the use of bitch in your interview responses, Jesse! ;)

    Smart casual..
Nice trousers / good black jeans and a dress shirt, nothing too OTT regarding the shirt, shoes.
Its better to be comfortable, when interviewing in the past for technician roles I found those going "all out" and wearing a suit were obviously not comfortable and so didn't perform their best.

I'd avoid jeans personally - just incase you get an old stickler that focuses on the fact you wore jeans but shirt and trousers and a pair of clean shoes can't hurt.
