Ideas for covering pipes running to shed

I'm looking for ideas to cover pipes running to a boiler in a shed, 2x3/4 inch pipes + gas line + 20mm conduit. They currently just have gray insulation on them and held down with galvoband. The shed is about 4m from the house.

The best idea so far is to use some 2x1 batons above and below, then cover them with stone upvc fascia board, using the angled piece of the fascia board to create a top. The fascia board is available in different widths, so should get something to suit.

A pic of the pipes and location could help

    Hi Guys,

I actually think I have this sorted, I've attached a picture of the set up. The 3/4 inch pipes are in red, gas line in green and wiring above that again.

The 3 pipes were just inside some pipe insulation and held to the wall with some galvo band, shown in purple.

So today I took off the galvo band and used the holes to mount 2 narrow wooden batons going downwards behind the pipes. And I secured the pipes onto these new batons. I also moved the wiring down and put it inside some 20mm conduit clipped also to these batons.

The batons are 175mm high so I'm planning on enclosing the lot in some white upvc fascia board (http://www.goodwins.ie/p-882-175mm-pvc-fascia-white-5m-length.aspx)

Should be fairly neat when I'm finished. What do you think?

Surprised the pipes aren't buried or better insulated. I guess they usually freeze over on cold days? If you do box them in, I would pump the box full of insulation (spray foam can is only 5 quid).

Why not bury all pipes and wires?
    Then gone for good.
If you bury 400,mm down no worries
    about frost or boxing.

In a deep freeze you would want 750mm even 1metre deep.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies. Yea i was going to pick up a can of expanding foam and get it in behind the fascia board once its in place. It's not a very long run, about 10 or 11 feet. There is a frost stat in the shed so if its very cold it will kick in a few times and circulate some water.

Burying isn't an option as there's about 8" of concrete. They are actually quite neat where they are and the fascia board will hide them away nicely. I'm wondering should the fascia board go right to the ground or leave a small gap incase water does get behind there. Also want to avoid any mice having a nice warm house behind there :)
