New Laptop Advice

    Hey,

My current laptop is a HP Pavilion dv5 Notebook PC. I bought it for over a grand about 4/5 years ago. Seems image drive could have gone, front camera gone, overheating and battery also out of action. Will only work when plugged in. Anyway I'm looking to get a new laptop and I presume you can get one of similar spec for a lot cheaper these days?

    Current spec:
    Processor - 2Ghz
    RAM-3gb
System Type - 32 bit Operating system
    Windows Vista Home (2007)
    Space - 288gb

Since I only want a similar spec, don't play games other than Football Manager, I really don't want to spend too much. I'm looking at about E250/300 euro max. But obviously if get the advise that these are crap I'd pay more.

    Any thoughts?

I've been looking in Harvey Norman, Argos etc and there seems to be fairly decent Asus, Acer and Toshiba ones for about E250?

PS: Looking for something around 15inch (standard) screen size.

    Thanks for any help!
