Hello any1 here have a 11 vw caddy?

What is happen is when I unlock the van and open the back door the van will auto lock again after a little time.

I had a 09 caddy before and when I open the back door the auto lock was knocked off.

Also when you open the back door it will not turn on the inside light, but the side loading door will

Is there something wrong or is this just the way it is?

I wonder if the door switch is working on the back door?

Lock it and see if the back door opens.

Otherwise there's a rubber coated switch, try taking the rubber off and spray some WD40 around it to loosen it.

yes the door locks, so would it be there no sensor for the back door?

Open the back door, then try and lock the central locking with the door open.
Do the same with the sliding door.
If it locks with the rear door open and not with the slider open then it must be the switch on the back door (which is likely to be part of the latch) or wiring going to the door
