    Hey,

I will be travelling to Sri Lanka next month with a 2 day stopover in Belgrade and a 1 day stopover in Abu Dhabi.

Flying with Air Serbia from Dusseldorf.

Was wondering if had any particular suggestions for Belgrade ?

For Abu Dhabi I was thinking the Grand Mosque and maybe a track experience.

For Sri Lanka there is so much choice, will have 12 days there but any suggestions would be welcome!

    Cheers!

For Belgrade, definitely visit the Kalemegdan fortress, it's especially lovely there when the sun is going down over the river.

There is a huge Orthodox church called St Sava's in Belgrade, it's very impressive and is one of the biggest churches in the world, definitely worth checking out.

If you are into museums I enjoyed the military museum near the Kalemegdan park, and the Tesla museum also.

Night life is amazing in Belgrade, there are lots of barges on the river that are pubs/clubs. Strahinjica Bana is the other hot spot for bars/cafes/resteraunts...it's known locally as Silicon Valley...I'll say no more haha!!

Skadarlija is an old style area of Belgrade, it's just one main street really and a few small ones off of it but it's cute and very different to the rest of Belgrade city. There's lots of restaurants here of varying quality, it's the most touristy part of the city but definitely worth checking out.

I really like the Beton Hala (concrete hall) area, it's down by the waterfront and it's an old industrial area and there are a few lovely restaurants there (Communale for pizza/pasta, Iguana for Asian food).

The other thing I can think of is to take a stroll up to the old Yugoslav Ministry of Defence building that Nato bombed, it's interesting from a historical point of view to see the remains of it.

Enjoy, it's a great city and the rest of your trip sounds amazing too!
