VW Golf odometer

VW golf showed mileage of 119000 on the odometer on a NCT cert. I presume these figures are in Kms, Anyone know for sure?

Depends on whether the odometer was displayed in km or miles at the time it was entered, I'd imagine.

Or how much attention the tester is paying. My odo is in km yet the tester put in miles on the report last time around.

Done the NCt with my car two months ago, and noticed on the cert that the tester had accidentally added 10,000 miles to the record on the sheet.. Glad I spotted it there and then.

All it states in the NCT test certificates for the 4 VWs in my family is "Odometer", the numbers displayed are then entered by the tester without any reference to miles or kilometers. Surely it is fairly obvious to the owner of the car to what his odometer display is.
