Just got a call from Sky to say I can add sky movies for a tenner a month with no additional contract and 31 days to cancel. Just wondering for people that have it is it any good? Is it worth it? Thanks.

Don't waste your money, its the same reruns of about 10 average movies over and over. Its got worse in the last few years.

I had it for a year for half price and it wasnt worth the money.

I pay a fortune to UPC for broadband, various sports packages, phone etc. I rang them 2 months ago thinking I'd save E30 or so by cancelling the movies. Was suprised that I was only saving a tenner but still cancelled it.
It's been dire for a while.

Rarely watch it, but was going through it for a few movies to record juat to have over the next few weeks when I'm done with college, I recorded about 8 or 9 I'd say but found that the same movies were on over and over and over . Though i usually can find something to watch on them but I dont mind watching the same movies a million times, if theyre good... :P

I have added the movies a couple of times to my Sky package but only do so as I can get them for half price (€4.50) as Im currently on that offer. But I usually remove them again after a month or so.

If you're a big, big movie fan then maybe it is worth a tenner a month but after you have watched a few of their best current movies its only repeats then.

For a tenner I would suggest you take it and as you're not tied to a contract you can remove them at any time but I would guess it would be sooner rather than later.

Go online and have a look at a tv guide which will give you a feel for the repetitive nature of the same old same old.

It might be good for one month if you use Sky On Demand with it. It is far too repetitive. I once had it for free on cable for a couple of years and watched one film on it.

I'd say thats poor value at a tenner a month.

Got them for €2 a month for three months when I got Sports back, but then again it's only +€9 or something with Sports normally.

You'll get it, for the 1st month watch quite a few films as the novelty factor will be there.

After a couple of months you will find you aren't watching much, and it would be cheaper to go hire a new release from Xtravision when you are in the mood for a film.
