Hey Peps, so its been over 6 weeks since I had an interview with SAP and I haven't heard a thing from them.I have emailed them 2 weeks ago to get a status on my application and still nothing.
Now I accept that they are most likely not interested in me but surly at least they could do is send me a rejection email. I've had about 10 interviews so far and everybody has got back to me within 2 weeks to let me know, hell Apple got back to me within 2 days.
I have been offered a role with I am currently in but the lack of response from SAP is really grinding my gears. I just want the courtesy of a response from them. Any suggestions as to what I should do.

Phone them up and ask to speak to the hiring manager. If it goes through to voicemail, leave a voicemail requesting a callback.
If you don't hear anything back after a certain length of time, burn your bridges and write a nasty review of the company on glassdoor.com.

SAP HR will send a follow-up mail in the event of non-hire. The hiring process can take a long time at SAP - more than 6 weeks even. That said, you should have a person's email address and that person should be responding to your mails.

Sometimes genuine mistakes about not getting back to a candidate occur, so as others mentioned another polite email query would be a good starting point. If not, them congrats on having another offer and just chalk it down to a failure on SAP's part.

If I worked for SAP and was going to be your manager, and I saw your post here, I wouldn't hire you. It suggests you are unprofessional / make bad decisions / can't keep your mouth shut.

I recommend you delete the company name.

Sap have a hiring freeze on at the moment, a friend was mid process and they got a call to let them know but it may just be on that area (sales)

To be fair, there are no personal details about the OP in his account. All we have is a username.

What is unprofessional is not replying to emails and taking more than 6 weeks for a reply.

I agree SAP are letting themselves down, but the OP may be shooting himself in the foot. His real name may actually be Benny, he may really be from <location>, and the interview may really have been x weeks ago. I can see he applied for a position (based upon his post history), so it is very possible someone in his department or his manager uses boards.

His real name may actually be Benny, he may really be from Offaly, and the interview may really have been 6 weeks ago. I can see he applied for a technical position (based upon his post history), so it is very possible someone in his department or his manager uses boards.

    Fair point

EDIT: Using about one minute of searching, I was able to find information about bennyineire which identifies exactly who he is. I didn't post any of his details, but I did point out roughly what I found. Nody has since deleted that portion of my post. I am including this edit as an explanation of Nody's edit.

Just to quickly second what Mr. Loverman is saying. I've had to PM people here before letting them know that their few "anonymous" posts/complaints have let me figure out where they work, who they're complaining about and also to let them know that a number of their management team read this forum. Be really careful with any specific details when it comes to employers.

@ Mr. Loverman, if you had read the post properly you would see that I have a job, put thanks for you input despite your assumptions

I don't know what you're talking about. I never made any assumptions about your employment status. Was this supposed to be directed at me?

Assume it's gone. You made an attempt to find out and heard nothing.

An employer who would make you chase a job isn't the kind of employer you want to work for. Remember that an interview is as much about you deciding if you would like to work for them. In my book, they've failed the interview, NEXT.

It would appear that SAP's hiring process is as poor and slow as their software.
