Bebo 'share the love'

    Hi folks,

    Basically I am wondering is the 'sharedaluv' feature which was on the bebo website copyrighted or trademarked? Could I use this exact feature on a website?

    I have tried looking but no joy.

    I cant link it as the site has basically been stripped! I just want to know can i use the feature without having any consequences!

    It's going to be very difficult to answer that question. Care to explain what it was? By reference to more recent apps it might be possible to point you in the direction of some guidance.

    Ill give it a shot anyway! Basically each day you were given 3 'loves' which you could give to people. once you gave this love to someone it would appear on their page as a love heart!

    It's basically just a form of like/rating system that's limited, but actually does nothing at all. You could use it all you want because most apps have it in some shape or form. Bebo didn't invent it.

    I can't see that being an issue other than if you try an pass it off as the original. Take proper legal advice before you do it though - if you're at college and this is some sort of project seek out you local FLAC and ask if they ever have a lawyer on who knows about IP.
