WWE Smackdown Taping Results for 8/15/14
From the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington

    Dark Match

    1. Fandango beat Big E. This match was taped prior to WWE Main Event. The crowd was really into Big E. The entire top tier of the building is tarped off.

    2. Adam Rose defeated Xavier Woods. Rose hit his finisher to win. Woods was down for a while after the match, as it looked like he was dropped on his head. The ref tended to for several minutes while the Rosebuds went back up the ramp.

    WWE Smackdown Taping

The Miz entered the ring for Miz TV. Roman Reigns was the guest. Miz said he was going to mentor younger stars. He would asked Reigns questions and then cut him off before he could answer. Eventually, Reigns punched Miz in the face and knocked him out the ring. Reigns said he respected Randy Orton but would beat him at SummerSlam.

    1. Dean Ambrose defeated Cesaro. Ambrose won with Dirty Deeds. A pretty good match that drew a loud “this is awesome” chant. Seth Rollins came out and spoke about the lumberjack match. He said he is the future and he is better then everyone. He came down on Ambrose and said he was never his friend…

A $9.99 chant broke out when they took a break for a commercial, then the fans humored themselves with a Seahawks chant…

Backstage, Kane set up Miz vs. Roman Reigns for later in the show…

    2. Dolph Ziggler defeated Titus O’Neil (w/Heath Slater). Ziggler won with the Zig Zag…

    3. Mark Henry defeated Luke Harper by DQ. Erick Rowan interfered for the DQ. Kane came out and turned it into a tag match with Harper and Rowan vs. Henry and Big Show…

    4. Big Show and Mark Henry defeated Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Henry was holding Rowan when Big Show hit his knockout punch, which was followed by Henry’s World’s Strongest Slam.

    5. Eva Marie beat AJ Lee via count out. Paige attacked Lee to cause the count out. Lee tried to get back inside the ring, but she couldn’t be the count. Paige kicked her from behind and hit her with the Paige Turner…

    6. Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter) defeated Bo Dallas. Swagger won pretty quickly with the Patriot Lock via submission. Rusev and Lana came out. Lana delivered a standard promo about Vladimir Putin, then there was a staredown. Bo Dallas cut a funny promo about trying to reach the rope and the referee confusing that with tapping out. He said Rusev would crush Swagger at SummerSlam…

    7. Roman Reigns defeated The Miz. Miz tried to run away, but Dolph Ziggler came out and stopped him. Reigns hit the Superman punch outside the ring, then speared Miz inside the ring and pinned him to win the match.

Roman worked the crowd for a while and it appeared they had entered dark match territory. The whole Wyatt Family came out. Kane and Seth Rollins followed to teach a lesson. Sheamus and Dean Ambrose came to the rescue of Reigns. There was a big brawl in the ring. Sheamus hit Brogue kicks all around, and Reigns hit Superman punches all around, then chased all the heels off. Sheamus and Reigns worked the crowd. Lilian Garcia wished the fans well to end the night.

Did he do something backstage to be in the bad books?

I thought Hunter was a fan

AJ was beating everyone, every week and has now lost twice to Eva Marie. What a waste. Could have easily added it to the feud with Paige that AJ is on an ever growing win streak.

I bet people will still defend the decision to put Cesaro with Heyman. He's only a step above jobber level now.

Could you imagine those two in the royal rumble or an Over The Top Battle Royale Match?

How exactly would you eliminate either? Can't see how it could be done really. :(

Today i caught up on the build up to SS but I thought this was a well put together video... There's a reason Brock doesn't talk much, especially at live events.. But in a pre taped video like this he really does across come across as a menacing b*stard.. Cena's recent intense promos have been excellent too, especially the one when his voice began to break against Heyman

The Unmovable Object meets the Unstoppable Force Brain?

(Cue both of these being false :pac:)

That AJ has two embarrassing defeats against Eva Marie thanks to Paige is adding to the fued.

    ----

WWE not bothering with Cesaro right now is lame but at least ‒ compared to Swagger pre-Rusev or Dallas going (Bo-ing) down thanks to incompetent officials (Bo-fficials) ‒ his losses are coming about in competitive matches.

Guess at this rate Eva Marie should be granted a title shot, since isn't that how it usually works?

I dont think it did. Building up Paige to end AJ's winning streak since her return would have been far better than a random out of the blue loss to end her winning streak.
