How much feeding for bulls??

    Have 2 Hereford bulls for a sale in about 9 weeks. Nice bulls but need to put on a good bit of condition. Currently feeding beef finisher how many kgs would dey need a day??

    As much as they will eat... 6-7kg/hd/day?

    This is one answer.

    Or work backwards. Ask yourself, What is a realistic sale price for them if you were to feed them on? Then see if it will pay you to feed them to this level. There is little monetary gain in having a path worn to the coop if the means doesn't justify the end.

    You may say better move them around in a couple of secure paddocks giving fresh grass daily with a shake of nuts 2-3kg.

    You can also ponder all sales options ie selling private etc. This might work out just as handy if you are getting it hard to put time in halter training and prepping. You could get sale through an interested local dairy farmer.
