I'm heading to Canada (Calgary) for a week to activate my IEC visa before 12 month deadline expires at the end of August. I've been working in the UK for the past 16 months and will fly from and back to the UK. I plan to return to Canada in March 2015 to stay until my visa expires. (I've UK work commitments until then). I have my POE, insurance, proof of funds and garda clearance. Do I need anything else? Am I ok travelling from the UK or should I travel from Ireland?

When I came over on the IEC I came over via Heathrow. It's not a problem at all, sounds like you've got it covered.
