    Hi,
    Sorry, I didn't really know where to post this. But I'm looking for somewhere to do a nail course in Gels, acrylics and nail art. I'm looking for short courses(a few weeks, weekends etc) And the catch is....I'm hoping for reasonably priced :)
    If anyone has any recommendations of any courses, colleges, training centres or even someone who privately trains, please let me know or feel free to pm me!
    Thanks a lot

    Which county are you in? A few colleges do evening courses (10-12 weeks) in gel nails. Reba hair and beauty supplies in carlow and Portlaoise are taking bookings for a gel nail course (6 weeks I believe) but is quite expensive but I would i would imagine it is a more in depth course.

    Young Nails in Dublin do courses.

    I think a lot of courses are priced fairly highly as they are for people who are in the business. You get a kit included.

    If you are just someone who wants to learn to do themselves, I suggest blogs and youtube instead.

    Bray Institute of Further Education are running a course starting in late September. €150 for the course and €250 for the kit!

    I've just done a year nail course in senior college... You learn a lot more in a year course then a part time- we done in nails; gels; manicure; pedicure; acrylic; fiberglass; nail art.
    also waxing, spray tanning, anatomy, nutrition, work experience, reception skills, customer services, word processing, health and safety, first aid, and business conduct.

    So at the end you get;
    fetac 5 cert,
    2 ITEC certs,
    fetac 5 first aid cert,
    Spray tanning cert.

    You won't learn all that in a part time.
    It's worth the year!

    But together for that it's just over €1,300....
    And it's 9am-5am, Monday to Friday.
