    Congrats Karina:-)
I did this course and am just finishing up the 4th year in vet practice management now.
TBH I don't know how much you'll have to pay for registration because I think it increased since I started and I was paying full fees so I paid about 3000 in total I think. You'll be sent a pack in the post near the end of August with all those details anyway.
For accommodation I'd avoid Willow Park and the student apartments opposite the college. Willow can be a bit rough and the student apartments are really noisy and expensive. I found my accommodation through Daft.ie and an estate agent and I lived in Cypress Gardens and Retreat Heights. Both are quite near the college and are safe and cheap but also very cold:-)
Freshers week was a bit underwhelming for me as I was a mature student but you should go along to clubs and soc day and join the animal society and the vet nursing society, you'll be able to meet vet nursing students in other years. The SU organise bands to play during freshers week so there will be other stuff to do too. Also go along to the PASS sessions when they start running, these are usually run by 2nd year students and they will give you a hand with making study plans etc.
    Any other questions just ask:-)

Some of those houses are very nice. Probably all the student houses in Athlone are cold though so make sure you have a hot water bottle:-) You'll have to pay 250 euro as well for going to Gurteen ag college in Spring.
