1.6 petrol zafira . Emission light can on after fuel fill.

    Hi , hoping I get help from you guys.
    As the title suggests I filled up my zafira yesterday . The tank was running very low and I filled it to the brim . This is unusual for me cause I normally fill it up from half a tank.
    Anyway , the minute I started the car in the forecourt after filling it, The emissions light on the dash and won't go off . This never happened before .
    I went into the forecourt just to make them aware of what happened. They said they have never had this issue before , which is fair enough..
    I dont want to take it to a main dealer if I can help it.
    Has anyone heard of this happening before , it must have something to do with the fill up I'm sure .
    Any suggestions appreciated . I quickly googled it and someone said it happened him and when he used up some of the fuel the light just went out itself !!! Why would this happen ??

    Thanks , I drove it around as I had to, when a quarter of a tank was used up the emissions light just went off !!
    Quite strange but it's fixed now.. Thanks again.
