...well that was certainly unexpected. Best of luck to him/her in future anyway, I hope it works out.

I still wish nothing but misery on her given the threats that were issued to Darren Sutherland.

Read this story this morning at 9:00 - I am still speechless.

Takes a lot to shock me but this story has really caught me.

Looks well for a woman to be fair - you wouldn't even tis Frank. Like I've being with worse.

What threats did she make to the family? legal action for defamation? Anyway, it takes huge courage to do this in any walk of life, let alone boxing. It's admirable, but of course it doesn't excuse making the threats to Sutherland's family.

Threats were made in the name of Frank Maloney by Darren Sutherland "advisor":
The note read: “£75,000 + VAT to Frank. Give car back. Give flat back. £100,000 a year in salary lost for the next two years.
“Frank will destroy you and your family in the media.
“They will hunt you down, take photographs of you and do articles about how you f
    up.
“He will destroy you for the rest of your life and he’ll be right, you were given a God-given talent.
“You think you feel bad now, you just have no idea how bad it’s going to get. I will help you if you help yourself. Declan, your pal.”
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/olympics/boxing/9139506/Hanged-boxer-feared-manager-would-ruin-his-life-if-he-quit-fighting-inquest-told.html

There was another note that went missing too:
Yesterday Frank Maloney broke down in the witness box.
Questioned about a note Darren wrote to him, and which he told police he found when he discovered the dead boxer, Maloney told the court he didn't have it, didn't know what happened to it, and couldn't remember what was in it.

What a cold and nasty character. You'd think someone supposedly going through their own private turmoil would have empathy for others.

First he was one, soon he'll have one.

    Still is one though

Not so sure Maloney should be so criticised here. Boxing and promotion and business are always a little shadier than the normal business practices. I'd like to hear Maloney's version of events before deciding on it.

The death verdict is not suicide, so what is it I wonder? Murder? A prank that went wrong? Found hanging with both wrists tied. It's possible for a person to tie his/her wrists. Were the wrists tied in a way that the coroner and experts believed was not possible without help?

Her admission to the coroner is enough for me to be convinced she is a buck. I know boxing has less than ethical practices, it still does not excuse what she put the family through.

Agreed - the way they did the video is hilarious - I thought it was a spoof or something. Frank looks very convincing to me.

He'll always be Frank to me.

    From Lennox Lewis's FB page:

"I was just as shocked as anyone at the news about my former promoter and my initial thought was that it was a wind up. The great thing about life, and boxing, is that, day to day, you never know what to expect.

This world we live in isn't always cut and dried or black and white, and coming from the boxing fraternity, I can only imagine what a difficult decision this must be for Kellie (formerly Frank Maloney).

However, having taken some time to read Kellie's statements, I understand better what she, and others in similar situations, are going through. I think that ALL people should be allowed to live their lives in a way that brings them harmony and inner peace.

I respect Kellie's decision and say that if this is what brings about true happiness in her life, than so be it."

Would be Frank be interested in men now? Like I presume he is a gay man/straight woman, no?

    Genuine question.

I am shocked........utterly shocked, im sure paddypower would have given evens on his female name being Frances :pac:

Frank, why you naughty little [insert gender here].

My first thoughts turned to Darren Sutherland and his family, opens closed wounds. Boxing can be a rotten sport at times and Maloney is no loss to the game. Absolutely no class about him!

It depends. A lot of trans people remain attracted to women.

Nothing wrong with wanting to be a woman, none of my business, but going on Celebrity Big Brother is attention seeking and publicity whoring of a shameful level.

I remember asking my mother did that happen in the show because the Haley in real life suddenly came out as transgender too. I also wondered how Haley was a man when she looked so feminine naturally. I was so bloody stupid :pac:

Yeah I know. But I thought she was and she had recently came out in real life and that's why the story in Corrie happened. The fact I believed this as well noticing Haley looked like naturally like a woman mind f*cked me.
