Scarifying Blade for ride-on lawn mower

I usually reside in another part of boards!

    Hopefully somebody can help.

The lawn has a good covering of moss at the moment. I am looking at 3 options:

    1) Hire somebody to scarify with their own machine and rake out
    2) Hire a petrol scarifier and do it myself
    3) Buy scarifying blades and attach to ride on

I'd like to go with 3 as I could do it myself whenever and it's the cheapest option!

Anybody here use them with success and get decent results or offer any advice?

    Thanks.
