Hi, i have completed and passed P1 and P2 with Griffith College in Cork. I am planning on sitting the P 3 exam in december and doing it by self study. Has anyone ever done any of the online courses. If so did you find them beneficial or could i do it on my own with a lot of hard work?? Thanks

Well done. Thats wat i was planning. I bought some second hand (2012) bpp and kaplan books for half nothing on ebay and open tuition lectures look good so i think i will give it a shot myself. Thanks. :-)

Yeah that's the best thing. I found with p3 if you learn off the main models and also keep repeating past papers you will pass it no bother. I studied it while studying for two others aswell.

I studied P3 with OpenTuition lectures & notes and BPP exam kit, and passed with nice 78%.
Would recommend OT, they are really brilliant but still all free.

Ya I would also be interested in the notes only and not the book. I am based in Tipperary. How much would they cost?

Hi notes are kind of within the independent college course notes and then just my own notes from Shane's classes. Will be keeping everything together for if selling.

Just wondering how much work you would need to put in for this, roughly how many hours a week?

Hiya. I would've been studying this along with p1 and p2 so id say per week I would have done 3 to 4 hours and then I had three weeks study leave so I did most of the studying then with 10 to 12 hours per week on each subject in them three weeks before the exam. Hope that helps you!

Thank you. Would that have been 3 to 4 hours on all 3, or each? I'm considering doing p1 and p1 myself from home, but I won't have much study leave, so I'm wondering how much Study I should be aiming for.

That would have been 3 to 4 hours on each subject, I used to study from 7 til 10 for maybe three to four evenings a week. I would say if you did a couple of hours (maybe 1 hour per subject) every evening 5 days a week you should be fine but everyone is different! I have kids so I was restricted to the evening too so its whatever you would be able to do. When I sat the three papers I failed P1 and passed P2 and P3. I think three at a time was a bad idea but two is definitely doable, that was the first time I had failed an exam when I sat them three.

Thank you, that's really helpful. That's pretty much what I was thinking I'd need to do. I may consider doing one of the revision courses in one of the colleges if needs be. Yes three at a time is a LOT, i can't imagine how that would be achievable and still have a life! Thanks again.

No bother! Yep I really didnt have a life so I definitely wouldnt recommend it! Best of luck in the rest of your studies!
