First time doing this .. Oylmpic .. What's better to use road or tt bike ..
Since it laps is there any advantage of a tt bike .. I am guessing a road bike would be faster as there is quite a bit of cornering to do.
And I know my TT bike doent like going around corners to fast ..

The course looks quite flat ..
    Any input would be great

Looking at their map it goes up the Khyber road and it's 5laps.

I guess if you're not confident cornering on a TT bike you'll lose any advantage you gain on the straights. Then again which are you more comfortable coming off for the run.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of either bike at it.

Looks like it's only the one draining climb on each lap.

I'm guessing by the congestion in this clip a blind eye is turned to crafting?

I'd recommend a TT bike. The only tight points are the turnaround up by the Aras and the left turn after the fast downhill.

TT for sure. some decent stretches on the course

The map looks deceiving .. It looks quite technical..

It is quite technical, and bear in mind with congestion there will be a definite premium on bike handling skills.

Yeah that's why I asked the question in the first place ... I just can see advantage if the tt bike ...
    ...
I loved to do a lap before the race ..but I don't think that possible ..

    Of course it is possible.

In my old club Voldemort used to get everyone drilled on the bends, hammered into everyone.

One of the things I was grateful for, alot of time to be saved knowing the course and the limits that can be pushed.

I'll be there! Can't remember do they publish swim waves or do we just find out at registration.
I'll be down with the splashers and drowners as usual...:(

Yup, doing the race myself too, close race to home so would be a shame not to.

So, reading through all the stuff on the website about this and there is no mention of drafting anywhere. Is it safe to assume that drafting on the bike isn't allowed as usual? Not that I expect to gain an advantage, I just expect to be floating on air a bit post swim

Yes, assume that (always). It'll be explained at briefing no doubt.
