God love my poor old man, he just rang me (He hasn't a clue about txt messages!) and asked if I could get on the internet and find him some cheap insurance... :P

Thing is, he's 72 and at that age where he'd almost be turned off the thoughts of driving with the way he gets loaded by the insurance company's.

His last quote was over 800 euro on a 1.3 Toyota corolla  Granted,it's a 96 reg, but I just thought it was a bit steep.

He's spent most of the day getting similar quotes from all the big names. AiG so fa, have been the cheapest at ~400 euro fully comp.

Anyone else have any recommendations we may have missed? No harm in trying a few more... But be handy for the old mammy's and daddy's out there to know :)

I don't think you need fully comp on such a low value car.
Though I'm not sure opting for TPFT is going to take much off the premium.

    You're probably right.

Just found out he got if for 300 euro with Cornmarket. But there was a discount involved for being in the IAM.

Some difference in fairness. So if anyone else here finds themselves or someone they know know in the same situation, maybe give them a try.

Keep the old todgers on the road a bit longer! :D

Institute of Advanced Motorists is it?
There was some insurance company a few years ago which was promoting its own version of that, they seem to have stopped advertising it though.
