I have an outlander 07 2l tdi, car repeatedly going into limp mode (loss of turbo). Took it back to the garage and turbo was replaced, grand for few days then happened again, engine light constantly on. This is the second car I've had with this issue, next car is going to be petrol!! However does anyone have a definitive answer on how to solve the problem...thanks all..

diesel particle filter? would be a guess?
would recommend full computer read out and fault find.... what was the basis for the turbo replacement?

Bear with me, I'm not very engine savvy! Mechanic changed some valve which fixed problem in 2.0l passat engine for him, but alas not in mine, then he decided to change turbo, also mentioned egr valve but haven't touched this yet. Have got caught out now a few times passing out cars on the road and suddenly no power..very frustrating.
