    Maybe he stays logged into the app, so he shows up as "online" regardless of weather he is using the app or not

    Why would you automatically assume that means he's seeing someone else? Lots of people use whatsapp now instead of text messages so he could be messaging any of his friends. My boyfriend is in about 10 whatsapp groups with various people from work, his group of friends etc..there's an onslaught of messages coming in every evening.

    People don't just use whatsapp to contact people they are seeing. It's a bit strange, in my opinion, to jump to that conclusion. Are you generally suspicious/jealous or are there other behaviours of his that are making you feel like that?

    Why would you automatically jump to he's seeing someone else?! Perhaps he uses it as his way of keeping in touch with most of his friends.

    If you are only newly seeing him, and already you are questioning and doubting him it's not really a good sign.

    OP before I go any further, I think it only prudent to ask what age are you and your boyfriend and how long are you going out. A bit of background basically, otherwise we could just be guessing all day at the reasons you have for being unable to trust your boyfriend.

    Though obviously if you don't trust him, then why would you continue to be in a relationship with him?

    He has lied to me once so that's why I'm concerned and also was not a very active user before.
