Is Sky Sports 5 available in Ireland, when I press the red button it tells me its not and place an order, will we have to pay for this channel as I already have a Sky Sports package.

It is part of the Sky Sports package. You need to do nothing.

Do nothing in Ireland. The "activation" deal in the UK is essentially a ploy to try to get UK subscribers to take up Sky broadband and doesn't apply here where Sky Sports 5 will be added to Sky Sports subscriptions regardless.
