As above, is it possible to tell the color/paint code of a car from its chassis number. I have sourced a rear door and the breakers dont have the exact paint code but have given me the chassis number. Is it possible to find out the paint color/type from the chassis number alone? Thanks

Don't think so. Only a dealer can tell from the chassis number. There should be a sticker in the owners manual that will give you the details. Failing that, there's one on the car - inside the boot IIRC.

Is there a paint code on a label inside the passenger doorframe, below the A-pillar? That's quite common.

Should be a paint code on the data sticker in the boot floor.
