I have a policy in my own name on a commercial jeep and am also a named driver on my partners car does that count for more than one year at the end of term regarding no claims bonus?

Don't think a commercial NCB can be transferred to a private policy. You really need to ask your insurance company.

No. You don't earn an NCB as a named driver, though some policies do take those years into account. However it's one or the other, either an actual NCB or years as a named driver, if you haven't had a policy of your own.

I do believe that commercial NCB can be transferred to private policies, but only if the commercial policy is in your name (i.e. not a company policy) and is for the same class of vehicle being insured.
