    Hi guys,

Please pleaseee please help me out.
Have a boxer dog at home and he wont stop barking at night.
There are a lot of cranky people going around the house at the moment.

Is there anything I could do? We've tried locking him in etc.

Its been mentioned to get rid of him or put him down at this stage. But this would be a very final last resort.

Well, for a start, what is he barking at? What's his exercise schedule? Are you leaving him outside by himself a lot to do his own thing?

Putting him to sleep would indeed be a bit extreme!
It's important to understand why he's feeling the need to bark...
How long have you had him?
    What age is he?
If you've had him for ages, is this something that has only started in the relatively recent past?
Does he have issues during daylight hours about being left alone? Any barking then, or destructiveness, or looking uncommonly relieved when you come back into a room he's been left alone in?
Does he do anything else other than bark at night?
And have you any idea if he's directing the bark at anything in particular? For instance, is he standing at the door where he last saw you leaving, just monotonously barking, or is he looking out a window or patio door and barking at e.g. cats?
